In the silence of her eyes...

Before you read this poem I would like to mention that the title 'In the silence of her eyes' has been taken from a very wonderful poem of my dear friend Mr. Ariz Imam..It enchanted me so much that I couldn't resist myself from stealing it..I am sure he is not going to sue me for this..So here it goes.......

IN THE SILENCE OF HER EYES...

In the silence of her eyes
I see the picture of my life,
so tempting, so cryptic but hazy.
I wish I could see just once
What lies on the other side of the fog
I wish I could decipher one day
what lies in that crypt, But
I am afraid of the fortress that lies
In the silence of her eyes.

Her wet silence says many words
In a language that I don’t understand
Are they those promise that we made
Decimated by this selfish world
Or the fragments of our dreams
Shattered by the worldly myths
Or those lifetimes that we lived
In those few moments we shared.
What are they I don’t know
All I know that I am afraid
Of the salty moisture that lies
In the silence of her eyes.

But I wont let this mystery take a toll
On me, my life, my dreams, my breath.
Will learn that language for sure, one day
And decipher what her silence say.
Will brave the fortress and the fog to
See the picture of my life that lies
In the silence of her eyes

  3. @sadiya: the prettiness lies in a paradox...the silence is torturous but still gives a hope that when it is broken only your name will echo...
